Connect your machine to your office.
  • Transfers the CLAAS machine data to the farm management software of your choice
  • Exchange specific field data in ISOXML format
  • Allows automatic documentation of your business

How do we transfer?

Use your machine data everywhere.

CLAAS has an API which allows farmers and contractors to connect data from their CLAAS TELEMATICS machines to their farm management software. The CLAAS API is a function of TELEMATICS and can be used with any connected CLAAS machine, regardless of its year of construction.

There's no need to make any changes to the machine. To share your machine data with your farm management system via the CLAAS API, all you need is an active TELEMATICS license and the supplementary automatic documentation license. Your local CLAAS dealer will help you activate the license.

  • More user-friendly
  • No re-entry of data into multiple systems
  • No manual data management required
  • No data losses through user errors
  • Simple, intelligent documentation
  • Exchanges specific field data in ISOXML format

What data can be transferred via the CLAAS API?

Automatic data exchange.

Once the customer has authorized the data exchange, the CLAAS API enables the farm management software (FMIS) to exchange date with TELEMATICS. All key agronomic and machine data can be shared.

It is technically impossible for a partner FMIS to access customer data without prior consent. So your consent is always required. This safeguard ensures that all sensitive data are protected at all times.

The FMIS is responsible for how the data is used and displayed in their system. To be certain that automatic data exchange via the CLAAS API meets your specific farm requirements, it is advisable to check the capabilities of the FMIS beforehand.

Field boundary synchronization

The field boundaries in the FMIS and in TELEMATICS can be synchronized by the partner system. This ensures that TELEMATICS always shows the correct field boundaries. The partner system can make use of the synchronization in both directions:

  • The farm management software changes and supplements the field boundaries in TELEMATICS.
  • The FMIS reads the field boundaries in TELEMATICS and adds them to its own database.
Agronomic data

As before, all yield data can be viewed in TELEMATICS. Including the crop type that was harvested, the yield, the moisture level or the readings from the NIR sensor. Data from attached implements such as the application rate of a seed drill or the crop yield of a CLAAS QUADRANT can also be displayed if these implements and the tractor are connected to TELEMATICS. The CLAAS API shares these data with the FMIS which documents and assigns them to the relevant field. In addition, the activity, duration of the activity and other documentation data can be transferred to the FMIS. There are two different presentation modes:

  • Total and average values per field, e.g. total yield in bushels per field and average yield per field in bu/ac.
  • Individual yield points including their relevant position in the field. The yield map is created by the The FMIS creates a yield map which may incorporate other functions, depending on the system.

How is the TELEMATICS account linked to the FMIS account?

Connected to the office.

The CLAAS API is always controlled from the FMIS. Accordingly, it must be connected through the FMIS. How this connection is initiated depends on the relevant farm management software.
